Both my maternal and paternal relatives come from Sicily so my roots go deep. From the first time I visited Sicily I fell in love with everything about it! Going there and finding where my great great grand parents grew up, lived, went to church, played...it was a dream come true! It's where they fell in love and created this wonderful family I have now! Going to Sicily for me was about going home, hanging out with the locals and seeing where I came from and what makes me who I am and why I love the things I do. I cherish my story and I know my great great grand parents would be very proud that I found my way back home and to know that they will never be forgotten!
